針對海基會與海協會簽署「海峽兩岸服務貿易協議」，以農業首都自許的雲林縣，今天上午由縣長蘇治芬與多位農場經營業者，共同表達反對的立場，認為這項協議的簽訂存在最大的漏洞，在於開放「零售服務業」及「倉儲服務業」，中國將藉由國家的力量與資金滲入，逐步掌控農產品的通路與生產，破壞台灣既有農業產銷體系，動搖台灣的國本。

面對此一情勢，蘇治芬被問到是否會演變成像當年「五二０」抗爭事件時表示，如果這項協議簽署後，造成台灣傳統生活及產業受到衝擊，再這樣下去，難保有一天，人民會「起叛」，希望中央特別注意這個問題。
