聯準會（Fed）主席提名人葉倫表示，Fed要遏止資產泡沫，應先藉監理政策，升息是最後訴諸的手段。

她在參院銀行委員會答詢時說：「我並不排除動用貨幣政策，作為解決資產價格失衡的工具，但由於這個工具不靈活，況且國會已要求我們要利用這些工具，來達成最大就業和物價穩定的目標，所以我希望貨幣政策引導達成國會賦予我們的目標，」監管政策才應該是遏止資產泡沫的「第一道防線」。

她也認為，美股並無泡沫化跡象。「股市漲勢相當強勁，但若留意傳統指標，像是本益比，並未看到股價呈現泡沫般的狀況。」
